I don’t remember the last time I bought a rain jacket but my girlfriend got me an L.L.Bean Trail Model Rain Jacket for my birthday and I’m loving it. It’s lightweight, waterproof, windproof and breathable making it the one of the best rain jackets out there that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. It’s packable so I can easily stick it into any bag I’m carrying. It comes in a wide range of colors but yellow is just perfect on a rainy day. Continue Reading
I saw this video about the history and manufacturing process of L.L.Bean’s Boat and Tote Bag so I decided to look it up on their website. When I saw the price tag of USD 21 (PHP ~920), I simply couldn’t pass on an opportunity to own one. I knew my aunt was arriving from the US and asked her to buy one for me so she could bring it back.
I ordered mine medium-sized in Regatta Blue with regular handles. Medium is the perfect size for every day use; the Regatta Blue trim looks great whether you’re in the city, at the beach or on a boat; and regular handles are just right as I don’t plan on carrying them on my shoulders. The canvas is thick and the handles are sturdy enough to carry almost anything that could fit inside. It’s perfect to use on weekends when visiting the Salcedo or Legaspi markets or bringing along a few magazines or books to read at a café.
L.L.Bean Boat and Tote Bags are available at L.L.Bean’s website. Price varies by size. A model with zipper is available at a slightly higher cost.
