Ever since I bought my Fujifilm X10 I’ve been looking for a leather camera strap to replace the stock strap that came with it. When I discovered the Barton 1972 line of camera straps two years ago they looked like a great value but wasn’t sure about purchasing as I haven’t seen them up close. So on my recent trip to Hong Kong I made it a point to drop by Annie Barton, the shop where they sell Barton 1972 camera straps as well as leather accessories from brands such as Gordy’s and Wotancraft. Barton 1972’s unique woven leather camera straps in various colors are what set them apart from other makers out there. Annie Barton is a shop where one can enjoy trying on different camera straps before purchasing and chit-chat with other photography enthusiasts. Those looking for a nice leather camera strap would be wise to make their way up to this store in Sheung Wan. I walked away without a camera strap as I couldn’t make up my mind but the store is definitely worth a visit. And when you do make sure to say “hi” to the furry creatures inhabiting the store.
Annie Barton is located at 6-10 Kau U Fong, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
