After almost a year of wearing my Pherrow’s 466 I got my first crotch blowout. The crotch area receives a lot of wear and tear so I’m not surprised this happened. Even though it’s thicker than your average mall brand it started out raw and it has only been washed once ever since. Maybe I should have washed them after 3 months to loosen up the denim a little bit.

Dealing with a crotch blowout is quite simple. I brought my pair of jeans to an alteration shop and had it repaired by stitching over the distressed area with fabric underneath to stabilize it. I made sure that they followed the direction of the twill or else they’ll just make a mess of things and stitch in any direction. This is the result.
